The Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism promotes excellence in endocrine and metabolic patient care by supporting academic and community endocrinologists, and scientists through the advancement of education, advocacy, and research.
Who We Are
CSEM is the National Specialty Society representing the subspecialty of Endocrinology and Metabolism. We set national criteria for certification of endocrinologists at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
We are a physician organization, and we provide accredited Continuing Professional Development for our members. CSEM is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
CSEM is a professional member society for Canadian endocrinologists and researchers. We are governed by an Executive and Council of Directors from across Canada who reflect the diversity of the endocrine medical and research community including, but not limited to, gender, language, race, cultural background, sexual orientation, age, disability, constituent geographic areas, as well as all areas of endocrinology (i.e.: adult, pediatric academic, community and research), skills and experience.

Choosing Wisely Canada: the national voice for reducing unnecessary tests and treatments in Canada. Choosing Wisely Canada works with national clinician societies to identify and develop recommendations on frequently overused tests and treatments that do not add value to patient care. Endocrinology and Metabolism Recommendations
Research and Innovation Committee
CSEM’s Council has resolved to establish a new Research and Innovation Committee to enhance the promotion of endocrinology research, strengthen the relationship with scientists and researchers, and increase the collaboration and communication between clinicians and scientists. Members interested in volunteering on this committee are asked to submit their application via the form below.
