Our Mission

The Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism promotes excellence in endocrine and metabolic patient care by supporting academic and community endocrinologists, and scientists through the advancement of education, advocacy, and research.

Who We Are

CSEM is the National Specialty Society representing the subspecialty of Endocrinology and Metabolism. We set national criteria for certification of endocrinologists at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

We are a physician organization, and we provide accredited Continuing Professional Development for our members. CSEM is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

CSEM is a professional member society for Canadian endocrinologists and researchers. We are governed by an Executive and Council of Directors from across Canada who reflect the diversity of the endocrine  medical and research community including, but not limited to, gender, language, race, cultural background, sexual orientation, age, disability, constituent geographic areas, as well as all areas of endocrinology (i.e.: adult, pediatric academic, community and research), skills and experience.
